The company is growing rapidly and is about to implement new plans and strategies regarding sustainability. As the Group Sustainability & Compliance Manager, you will be a part of driving this new CSR journey that the company is on regarding both the development, the implementation, and the communication of the new CSR strategy all whilst ensuring that Schur stays compliant with their commitments to UNGP and OECD.

You will get the following tasks and areas of responsibility:

• Implement and follow up on strategy and objectives for SDG
• Ensure that Schur policies and CoC are always in line with, adherent to and updated to meet the commitment towards UNGP and OECD
• Implementation of Whistleblower solution and upcoming HRDD
• Definition and implementation of Global Product Safety & Quality Culture across the Schur Group
• Overall responsibility for the CSR report and for ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with the annual plans

Ideally, you would be based out of the office in Horsens but as this is a role with global outlook you can also be based elsewhere. You will report to the Group Commercial Director Jane Puggaard.

Solid experience with sustainable compliance

Possessing excellent insight into the UNGP, the OECD, and the SDG’s will be a huge advantage for any applicant applying for this position of Group Sustainability and Compliance Manager. You will need this insight and hands-on experience in the job, as your responsibility will be to ensure compliance with policies, directives, and procedures. Due to the international aspect of the company, it is important that you are fluent in English and can communicate at a high level – ideally you also master and understand the Danish language on a professional working proficiency level, but this is not a prerequisite. If you understand either Swedish and/or German, this will be seen as an extra advantage.

You have experience from a similar position where you have worked with compliance concerning UNGP and OECD on a global and local level – preferably from a production company, or, for example, a subcontractor to the packaging industry or other comparable industries. 

You have an exceptional drive, a can-do mentality, and great communication skills which enables you to be impactful and able to gather people on the same journey. You understand to navigate between being compliant and strategic while mastering the commercial mindset needed to understand and support our business. You are extremely interested in sustainability, environment, compliance, rules, and laws, as well as global trends within Sustainability & Compliance.
